The fee is different for each type of care situation.

Payment FAQ
Miidwives in Massachusetts seem to charge between $3000.-$6000. My services fall within this range and vary depending type of services provided. I offer a payment plan options for all the families I work with and accept payments through paypal (so you could use your credit card for payments). I also offer a low income fee (below this range) for clients who are receiving government aide (transitional assistance, food stamps, WIC, etc) and those who have MassHealth.
I try not to take more than 2-4 clients due in a given 5-6 week range. In order to secure services it is requested that clients put down a deposit and sign their contract as soon as we decide to work together.
I am not a participating providers with any insurance company. Clients are required to pay for services in full (prior to the birth). I have had clients get reimbursed by their insurance companies. I am happy to help you file a claim with your insurance company. Each insurance plan tends to reimburse different amounts for out-of-network providers and some insurance companies will not pay for homebirth services at all. Currently MassHealth will not cover homebirth services. .
